Fr. George Kwame Agyei Bonnah was born on 15th October 1966 at Nyankumasi Ahenkro in the Central Region of Ghana. He schooled at St. Teresa’s Minor Seminary at Amisano. From there he continued his formation at St. Paul’s Catholic Seminary and St. Peter’s Regional Seminary in Accra and Cape Coast respectively. Fr. George was ordained a priest for the church of God in the Archdiocese of Cape Coast on 3rd September 1995.
After two years of pastoral work at St. Paul’s Catholic Church at Mankessim, Fr. George was asked to go for further studies in New Testament (NT) Scriptures at the Kahrl Eberhard’s University of Tuebingen in Germany. On his return in April 2008, he served as a Parish Priest at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at Pedu, Cape Coast until January 2011, during which period he was a visiting lecturer to St. Paul’s Catholic Seminary and St. Peter’s Regional Seminary.
Since January 2011, Fr. George has been on campus, and he handles courses in New Testament Scriptures, including Greek, and Biblical Apostolate.
His extra responsibilities include supervising the production of the “Pedu Today” magazine and music, and also assisting at the office of academics and coordinating the pastoral assignments of the Deacons.
He is currently the Academic Dean of Studies.
