He is a priest of the Catholic diocese of Sekondi-Takoradi. He was ordained priest in 2014 and served in two Parishes as parochial vicar Tarkwa and Manso-Amenfi within close to two years prior to his trip for further studies in Europe in September 2016.

He pursued his Research Master’s degree in Biblical Studies at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium (KU Leuven) from 2016 to 2018. He majored in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) with his Research Master’s Thesis focusing on Genesis 18-19 under the title: “God and Men or Angels? One and Three or Two? A Critical Analysis of Genesis 18-19”. In this, he explored the exegetical questions regarding the ambiguity of the visitors of Abraham and Lot in the Mamre-Sodom narrative in Gen 18-19.

He returned to Ghana after his Research Master’s programme in September 2018 for a break from rigorous academic activities. During this period, he served as a parochial vicar at St Paul’s Pro-Cathedral in Sekondi.

In November 2020 when his two-year break came to an end, he returned to Belgium to continue his studies into doctorate in the field of Biblical Studies at KU Leuven. His PhD Dissertation dealt with the role of ambiguity in the identification of the visitors of Abraham and Lot in the Mamre-Sodom episodes in Genesis 18-19. In June 2024, he defended his PhD Dissertation under the title: “Textual Ambiguity and Identity in Genesis 18-19: A Narrative Critical Reading”.

In addition, he has published two papers in international academic peer-review journals on the following topics: “The Narrative Significance of the Role of Abraham in the Identity of the Visitors in Genesis 18-19” published in Old Testament Essays 36/3 (2023) and “The Church Trauma of Stifled Grief: A Reflection and Analysis from an Old Testament Perspective” published in Interdisciplinary Journal of African Alliance for Research, Advocacy and Innovation 2/1 (2026)

In August 31 2025, he departed to Ghana and was in residence at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church at Shama from October 2025 till January 30 2026 when he assumed his role and responsibility as a Lecturer in Biblical Studies and Formator at St Peter’s Regional Seminary, Pedu.

The seminary is an ecclesiastical institution for the formation of Future Catholic Priests. It is referred to as a Seminary and not just a Theological College because the seminary brings to mind a humane environment where seeds are sown, nurtured and pruned to bear fruits and to provide shelter for the homeless and food for the hungry. The seminary has a universal accreditation for it does exactly what is done in almost all the Catholic Theological faculties in the world.

The vision of St. Peter’s Regional Seminary is to help form priests who will fit well in the universal Church and also become vibrant in the Ghanaian or the African context. A people who would help sustain the dignity of human beings and enhance the created order.
