Fr. Emmanuel Richard Mawusi had his elementary education at Anfoeta Tsebi RC/LA Primary School and Kpedze Roman Catholic Middle School.
He entered St. Mary`s Minor Seminary, Lolobi where he pursued his O`Level education from 1977-1982. He had his A`Level education at St. Paul`s Secondary School, Denu from 1982 – 1984.
In 1984 he gained admission to St. Peter`s Regional Seminary, Pedu, where he did his Philosophical and Theological Studies. After a successful completion of his studies with Diploma in Theology, he was ordained a Diocesan Priest for the Catholic Diocese of Ho on the 21st July, 1990.
Fr. Emmanuel Richard Mawusi began his priestly ministry at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Shia as Parochial Vicar from 1990 – 1995. He also served briefly as Parochial Vicar at Dambai, in Jasikan Diocese.
From 1995 to 1997, he served as Chaplain of Our Lady of Apostles (OLA) Secondary School, Ho. From 1997 – 2000, he served as Secretary to the Bishop of Ho and was also in charge of Financial Administration.
In 2000, he was sent for further studies at the University of Vienna, Austria. While studying, he served as Associate Pastor and later Acting Pastor of St. Äegidius Parish, Korneuburg (Austria) from 2000 to 2008. He also served as Associate Pastor of St. Joseph`s Parish, Florisdorf (Austria) from 2008 – 2009.
In 2004, he was awarded Master`s Degree in Theology and in 2009, he was subsequently awarded Doctor of Theology Degree (mit Auszeichnung).
On his return after studies, he was appointed Lecturer/Formator in Dogmatic Theology at St. Peter`s Regional Seminary in 2010. In the Seminary, Fr. Mawusi teaches Courses like Christology, Fundamental Theology, Ecclesiology, Sacramental Theology and Missiology. He is currently the Vice Rector of the Seminary.
