Governing Council
Members of the Governing Council
- Archbishops and Bishops of the Ecclesiastical Provinces of Cape Coast, Accra and Kumasi shall constitute the Governing Council of the Seminary.
- The Council shall be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Seminary’s formation programme.
- It shall meet at least once a year and submit an annual report on the Seminary to the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples.
- The Bishops who form the Council shall in turns visit the Seminary every semester.
- The Archbishop of Cape Coast presides over the meetings of the Governing Council. He is spokesman of the Council on all official matters.
- The Archbishop of Accra shall assist the Archbishop of Cape Coast and act in his absence.
- The Governing Council shall present the name for the Rector to the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, which confirms the nomination through the issuance of Decree.
- The Archbishop of Cape Coast shall provide immediate supervision and give direction on all which do not immediately require the decision of the entire Governing Council.
- The Archbishop of Cape Coast shall appoint the Vice Rector, Spiritual Director(s) and other members of the teaching staff with the consent of the Governing Council.
